It cleared up, but the water is still cloudy when i put clarifier in it. Really weird. Everything is where it should be.--meaning ph, phosphate, silicate, parameters. not sure. going to keep an eye on it. Fish are all doing okay

Check your parameters. If any of them are off, it is possible that there is an excess of debris. I assume that your clarifier works by clumping debris, making it easier for the filter to trap them. Hope this helps!

Hello all,
My mom has a 55 gl tank that is very cloudy (white cloudy). thinking it's a bacteria bloom. Tried using water clarifier and it hits the water and clouds really bad. I use clarifier in my tank and I have never seen it do this before. She has done a 45% water change, and it still acts the same. She has angelfish. Help please!!
I have a video on my facebook, not sure if you will be able to see it or not.

Any tips on buying media? Or good things to look for at certain locations?

I'd go ahead and buy them. Just make sure that you run them on some plain water for awhile to make sure that you aren't bringing any parasites or diseases into your tank. See if you can get him to also give you any unused filter media, as you will eventually need it and I doubt he will.

I have a 26 gallon, plan to upgrade soon. The main question is are these worth $160 used for both of them? Is the price good, that's the lowest I got him to?

I'm on the verge of buying two used filters an Eheim 2215 and an Eheim professional II. Does anybody recommended these filters? How much would they be worth used and in Canada?
